Casa Sefarad (Sephardi House) is located in “Calle Judíos”, a street which retains the oldest original name of the Jewish Quarter, placed in the heart of Cordoba’s Historic Center, and just a few minutes from the Synagogue. This cultural initiative was created in 2004. It aims to showcase a unique collection of cultural activities and the enormous legacy of Sephardic culture and tradition they left in Spain.
This house has a central courtyard surrounded by 5 exhibition rooms. In this itinerary you will learn about the history and reality of the Judeo-Spanish-Sephardic culture. These rooms are Hall of Domestic Life, Hall of Al-Andalus Women, Hall of the Jewish Quarter of Cordoba, Hall of Festive Cycles and Hall of Sephardic Music.
Apart from hosting your tour, Casa Sefarad also organizes cultural events, seminars, book launches, conferences, music concerts and various activities aimed at recovering their legacy.
