This house-museum invites you to discover something unique in the world: the recovery of the original and elaborate Umayyad techniques for working leather for decorative purposes. The artists Ramón García Romero and José Carlos Villarejo García were responsible for analyzing and researching ancient techniques of caliphal and sumptuary decoration used in the city of Cordoba in the 10th century. They are now being offered and shown to visitors, providing a unique opportunity for them to know them.
Here you can see “guadamecíes” made using Umayyad techniques, which, along with other arts, were created in the splendid city of Medina Azahara at a time when Cordoba was the height of its historical and cultural splendor.
